Asian American lawyers are warning California senators that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California could be left with a dearth of Asian American district judges.
On Friday, the Biden administration nominated San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Rita Lin to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. If confirmed, Lin will be the first Chinese American woman to serve on the court, according to the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
